Heath Ledger: 1979-2008 R.I.P

Actor Heath Ledger, 28, was found dead on Tuesday in his downtown Manhattan apartment, possibly from a drug overdose. His naked body was found lying face down at the foot of his bed near some prescription pills, including sleeping pills, according to New York Police Department.

There is no evidence at this time that Ledger took any of the pills and no suicide note was found at the scene. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday. Ledger's body was discovered by his housekeeper and a masseuse, visiting him for a massage appointment, on Tuesday afternoon at his fourth-floor rental apartment in Manhattan's Soho neighborhood.

Ledger earned an Oscar nomination for his performance in 2005's Brokeback Mountain. He most recently played one of several incarnations of Bob Dylan in I'm Not There, and he was to star as the Joker in the upcoming Batman movie The Dark Knight. Ledger leaves behind two-year-old daughter Matilda Rose, whom he fathered with actress Michelle Williams.

Today, the Palace Tombs of Petra, with the 42-meter-high Hellenistic temple facade on the El-Deir Monastery, are impressive examples of Middle Eastern culture.

Its various structures - the pyramid of Kukulkan, the Temple of Chac Mool, the Hall of the Thousand Pillars, and the Playing Field of the Prisoners – can still be seen today and are demonstrative of an extraordinary commitment to architectural space and composition. The pyramid itself was the last, and arguably the greatest, of all Mayan temples
